
The mountain vary simply south of me is the Santa Cruz mountains and Mount Umunhum is one among its highest peaks is Mount Umunhum. However that’s not what makes it stand out. The Field does.
The mountain is topped by an eight and a half story (84.5 toes tall) concrete radar tower (5 flooring inside), recognized domestically as “the Dice” or “the Field”. The tower was a part of Almaden Air Pressure Station, a radar surveillance put up which operated from 1958 to 1980. (from this Wikipedia hyperlink)
The Field seems in all these views, sketched from completely different components of Almaden Valley. Each time I sketch a view with it, I strive doing no less than one thing completely different: new media, new option to begin, new option to suppose…something that isn’t precisely what I did earlier than. It’s a great way to maintain what’s acquainted to me recent in my sketches. Listed below are three latest takes.
