Unification and Inclusion — Henry Richardson

0

From South Park Journal: You’ll know you’ve arrived while you spot the three-story glass façade and the big blue cut- and chiseled glass orb on the plaza in entrance of the museum entrance on Pack Sq.. New York-based sculptor Henry Richardson’s “Reflections on Unity” weighs about 4,500 kilos and sits atop an 8-ton boulder from a neighborhood quarry.

“The idea is unification of the group and inclusion for folks coming to the museum,” Richardson stated on the November opening. “It turns into a beacon basically, to tug folks in from the group and thru the doorways into the museum.”
