It is Saturday!
Take the time and go!
We had a fabulous time – and the brand new store has almost doubled in attractive materials, notions and enjoyable stuff since I used to be there in December.
It was sunny, however a bit blustery!
4 New Neutrals!
I’m going by neutrals like loopy. And I see no want for boring backgrounds. The enjoyable neutrals are the place it is at for me – and these are going to have “some” lower off immediately for use in a present venture –
Aren’t these irons simply so cute?
I set proper in to chopping –
I lower at a tall chopping desk, and maintain a 13 gallon tall kitchen trash can proper subsequent to me so issues have much less of an opportunity to finish up on the ground.
Guess who was snoozing within the backside of it? LOLA! Evidently she did not thoughts that some purple scraps ended up on prime of her like snow both. Foolish woman.
Issues on Level!
Wanting nice, Michelle!
Sharon not solely completed this candy child quilt prime, but additionally:
Some cute Periwinkle Star blocks!
That is going to be cute!
That is going to be pretty!
And one other enjoyable factor occurred over the weekend.
I completed the primary spherical of Baptist followers throughout the surface fringe of the quilt and have moved into the second spherical which suggests –
BINDING TIME!
I’ve defined so many occasions why Baptist followers are quilted from the surface in towards the middle. I feel you get it now!
However the perfect half for me is as soon as I’ve gone all the best way round with the primary spherical, I can trim off all of that extra batting and backing and get the binding on.
With this quilt it is actually useful as a result of the Quilter’s Dream Request batting is a bit “fiber-y”. It leaves little fluffs of fiber on the quilt floor – particularly noticeable on darkish solids. It is nothing {that a} lint curler cannot deal with, however getting the binding on there and encasing that uncooked edge stops the fluff concern.
One certain nook!
I attempted a number of totally different coloration choices for binding, and with the enter of the retreat gals all of us determined purple was the one to do the trick.
In fact, that meant that I wanted to get to the underside tub of solids that was stacked towards the wall within the inn storage, and to get to that bin I needed to transfer every thing out of the best way and unstack the stacks –
Which lead after all to cleansing and reorganizing the storage – so –
I assume spring is basically right here as a result of Spring Cleansing took over and hijacked my Sunday. LOL!
There was nonetheless sufficient time to get out for 2.25 mile stroll down Bear Department Highway with Sharon and Terri – good for my soul!
I feel that brings us all the best way to right now – Monday.
It is the March Quiltvillians’ final full day. They head residence tomorrow. I do know they are going to be pedal to the metallic and absorbing no matter communal quilting time they’ve remaining.
The solar is shining once more this morning with a projected excessive of 63 this afternoon.
Might one other stroll be in my close to future? Might be!
How was your weekend and what did you stand up to?
