Water puppetry is a convention that dates again so far as the eleventh century when it originated within the villages of the Crimson River Delta space of northern Vietnam. At present’s Vietnamese water puppetry is a singular variation on the traditional Asian puppet custom.

The puppets are made out of wooden after which lacquered. The reveals are carried out in a waist-deep pool. A big bamboo rod helps the puppet below the water and is utilized by the puppeteers, who’re usually hidden behind a display, to regulate them. Thus the puppets seem like shifting over the water.
