The Divine Gate seq in ep7 of ‘Maya and the Three’ was a blast to storyboard. Jorgé got here up with the last word ‘threshold guardian’ and I bought to pay tribute to all my fave films; the rock monsters from ‘Hellboy II’ and ‘Galaxy Quest’, the mecha-gate warrior in ‘Labyrinth’ and naturally Harryhausen’s Talos in ‘Jason & the Argonauts’. I attempted a gag the place Picchu will get so mad on the Gate for harming Chiapa that he crushes the widescreen together with his frown!
