For me, Barbie has at all times been about serving a fantasy…an escape from the actual world. I by no means noticed her as a “common” or “strange” woman, & she by no means wanted to be…she’s a style doll! She was about unapologetic glamour, luxurious, sophistication & prime quality designs, however she may be youthful, edgy & daring when she needed to be.
I’d like to see Barbie return to her true essence & unapologetic kind sometime…the place we see the sort of design aesthetic & high quality harking back to her glory years for e.g, collections like #FashionAvenue, #FashionFever, #MyScene, #TopModel and so on.
