In my final publish I shared a technique of including a fragrance pattern to the within of a card. On this publish I’ll illustrate a second method of doing that: by means of what I’d name an built-in stomach band.

By ‘built-in stomach band’ I imply a stomach band which is not layered on prime of a (design) paper floor, however which has seemingly been built-in with it as an alternative.

Primary development is identical: fold a card and ensure it has a large sufficient gusset (or backbone). However earlier than you begin matting and adorning, connect the stomach band first! Merely dry-fit a strip of (design) paper round a small fragrance vile or pattern and glue its ends to the bottom card, on both aspect of the backbone.

Solely then mat & embellish. And a pleasant ribbon closure could be enjoyable too 😉

On this instance I created an ATC card-sized double card with a backbone, of about 3 x 4″ (7.5 x 10 cm). I used design paper by Mintay Papers.

Completed! Let me know in a remark: have you ever ever despatched out fragrance samples over the mail, as just a little further ‘one thing one thing’ for a pricey buddy or a cherished one?

Mat with design papers, layering them on prime of each ends of the stomach band, thereby hiding them
Enhance the skin nonetheless you want. E.g. I added some flowers, blings and a stamped sentiment
