Fourth time fortunate! We lastly converged in Twickenham, having swerved
lock downs and prepare strikes.
This time we met close to the station,
by the River Crane, earlier than assembly once more on the Thames. A peaceable path with
fallen bushes and hedgerows made begin to the day.

Twickenham Riverside has rather a lot to supply. We have been delighted that
the Open Studio weekend on Eel Pie Island enabled us to stroll over the
footbridge and into that iconic spot.

I didn’t blame the café in
car-free Church Road for suggesting that we moved alongside from the
finest places, however not earlier than some nice work was accomplished. Café
Sunshine on Diamond Jubilee Gardens supplied a superb vantage level to

As a finale, the Bare Women (Oceanids) of York Home supplied a
stunning spectacle, and we completed the day at Champions Wharf with a large
vary of sketches which celebrated the various joys of Twickenham. And never a
rugby reference in sight.
