Fourth time fortunate! We lastly converged in Twickenham, having swerved
lock downs and prepare strikes.

This time we met close to the station,
by the River Crane, earlier than assembly once more on the Thames. A peaceable path with
fallen bushes and hedgerows made a great begin to the day.

Twickenham Riverside has lots to supply. We have been delighted that
the Open Studio weekend on Eel Pie Island enabled us to stroll over the
footbridge and into that iconic spot.

I didn’t blame the café in
car-free Church Road for suggesting that we moved alongside from the
finest areas, however not earlier than some nice work was finished. Café
Sunshine on Diamond Jubilee Gardens supplied a wonderful vantage level to
look throughout the river.

On the river financial institution the tide crept increased, inviting the geese
to talk however we didn’t get our toes moist. The boatyards and the fixed circulate of
folks and rivercraft have been very participating.

As a finale, the Bare Girls (Oceanids) of York Home supplied a
shocking spectacle, and we completed the day at Champions Wharf with a large
vary of sketches which celebrated the numerous joys of Twickenham. And never a
